After splitting last week’s games, West Virginia men’s basketball received mixed reviews from the pollsters. In the AP Poll, WVU moved down one spot to No. 13, X stayed at No. 11 in the Coaches Poll and fell two spots from a week ago to No. 9 in the NETT.
This is in large part in reaction to the Mountaineers (17-4) loss to Texas Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Unfortunately, they followed that loss with an unconvincing win over Kansas State. A stark contract to the blowouts over Texas and Missouri from the previous week.
