MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Behind Jonathan Holton’s 14 points and 11 rebounds, No. 9 West Virginia beat Kansas State for the fifth straight time and remained tied atop the Big 12.
Sixth-man Jaysean Paige shot only 3-of-12 from the floor while adding 12 points for the Mountaineers (17-3, 6-2), who overcame 18 turnovers to keep pace with No. 1 Oklahoma for the league lead.
Nathan Adrian scored a season-high 10 in his first start, making 4-of-5 shots, though West Virginia endured another rough night at the free-throw line (19-of-32).
“I’m just happy we won. We win and move on,” said coach Bob Huggins.
