The Big 12 media have decided on their 2017 preseason poll, and it’s not exactly favorable to West Virginia. With no surprise, Oklahoma received the most votes. The Mountaineers have been picked to finish sixth in the poll, despite finished 10-3 and third in the conference in 2016.
The 2017 Big 12 Football Media Preseason Poll, which is released before Big 12 Football Media Days for reasons, looks like this:
- Oklahoma, (19) 303
- Oklahoma State, (12) 294
- K-State, (1) 231
- Texas, 213
- TCU, 202
- West Virginia, 183
- Baylor, 129
- Texas Tech, 85
- Iowa State, 83
- Kansas, 37
The surprise here (this is my opinion only) is how highly rated both Kansas State and Texas are.
