The Mountaineers collected 12 team points to finish eighth overall. Among Big 12 foes, WVU was fifth with 57 team points.
No. 8 Texas was crowed the Big 12 champion for the second consecutive year, winning all five events. The Longhorns earned the conference’s automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Rowing Championship. Oklahoma took second place with 41 team points, while Tennessee rounded out the top three with 34 points.
“The racing effort put forth by our crews today was very good,” said WVU coach Jimmy King. “Our second varsity eight and second varsity four finished one spot higher than their seeds.
