West Virginia adds 7th defensive back to 2017 class

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Rivals three-star cornerback Exree Loe, who spent 10 months committed to Pitt before re-opening his recruitment this summer, selected West Virginia on Friday afternoon.

The Johnstown, Pa., senior becomes the seventh defensive back among 14 commitments for the Mountaineers’ class of 2017.

Loe originally committed to Pitt in August 2015 before his junior season, but the relationship cooled after he visited Rutgers in June. His other offers include Louisville, Maryland, Iowa State, Cincinnati, Boston College and Toledo.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder, ranked the 55th-best cornerback prospect by Rivals, announced his decision before Greater Johnstown’s season-opening game against Penn Cambria.
