MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Athletes have become increasingly savvy in using social media and the newest Mountaineer may have set a new standard for a commitment video.
Kicker and punter Tyler Sumpter announced his verbal commitment to join the WVU football program Sunday and he did so with an extraordinarily produced 68-second video with help from his father and uncle.
“To actually shoot the video took about 24 hours,” Sumpter said. “We started Saturday morning and probably spent about three or four hours on the river and edited what we had.
