TROY, N.Y. – No 13 Dylan Cottrell earned wins over a pair of ranked opponents as three members of the West Virginia University wrestling team won their pools at the 2016 Journeymen ASICS Collegiate Classic at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York, on Sunday.
Cottrell used a pair of upsets to claim his pool at 157 pounds, while Christian Monserrat and James Dekrone also went undefeated as each won his pool at 149 pounds. West Virginia tallied a total of seven bonus-point victories, including four pins, a tech. fall and two major decisions.
