WINTER PARK, Fla. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team used a barrage of three-pointers to knock off Indiana, 75-64, on Monday evening at Warden Arena on the campus of Rollins College.
The Mountaineers (10-2) were named the Co-Champions of the Florida Sunshine Classic with Baylor, who knocked off Miami and James Madison.
West Virginia held a 12-10 lead after one quarter. It was a three-point affair in the second quarter as WVU managed to hit a season-best six triples in the frame. Three consecutive three-pointers from Alexis Brewer, Chania Ray and Katrina Pardee helped the Mountaineers push the lead to 14.
