The West Virginia Mountaineers Break Into The Top 15

The West Virginia Mountaineers broke into the Top 15 today, following Saturday’s beatdown of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. This marks West Virginia’s highest ranking since 2012, when the No. 5 ranked Mountaineers lost to Texas Tech and fell to No. 17 in the AP and No. 15 in the Coaches Poll.

Elsewhere around the Big 12 Conference, Baylor rose two spots in the AP Poll to No. 8, and Oklahoma climbed 3 spots in the AP and 4 spots in the Coaches Poll to land at No. 16 in both. Oklahoma State and TCU also both received votes in both polls, but find themselves on the outside of the Top 25 looking in.
