West Virginia head coach Neal Brown saw WVU’s big win over NC State as a defining moment because of the way that the Mountaineers responded after a tough loss to Missouri. Coach Brown appreciated Colton McKivitz’s leadership on the offensive line, as well as the entire team’s progress towards creating a blue-collar identity.
Two starting offensive linemen were out for West Virginia’s game on Saturday, but the WVU offensive line improved with first-time starters Briason Mays and Joh Hughes, as well as James Gmiter.
