The new West Virginia University football coaching staff is still not entirely set, but that hasn’t stopped those who are taking over in Morgantown from hitting the recruiting trail hard. The most recent offer went to Lexington (Kentucky) Catholic quarterback Beau Allen, one of the top signal callers in the class of 2020.

As Neal Brown continues to shape his football staff, veteran West Virginia defensive coordinator Tony Gibson — who became a lightning rod over the past couple of years — has landed on his feet by being hired as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at North Carolina State.
