MORGANTOWN — Turns out it wasn’t just a sore hamstring that was bugging Daxter Miles Jr.
The West Virginia sophomore guard had a bad case of crossover, too.
WVU head coach Bob Huggins, along with WVU graduate assistant Anthony Monaco, found a hitch in Miles’ shooting form while breaking down recent film of the Mountaineers.
“They saw some things where I would hold the ball and bring it across my body instead of pinning it over my right eye,” Miles said Wednesday, March 2, after connecting on five 3-pointers in helping the 10th-ranked Mountaineers beat Texas Tech, 90-68, at the WVU Coliseum.
