MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — No. 25 West Virginia beat Oklahoma 4-2 in the completion of a suspended game before the Sooners claimed the nightcap 3-1 on Saturday.

The Mountaineers (25-16, 10-7 Big 12) led 1-0 in the second game until Oklahoma’s Kyle Mendenhall hit a three-run double in the seventh. That spoiled a gem by WVU freshman Alek Manoah (0-1), who gave up five hits over eght innings.

“They scored three runs with one swing of the bat,” said West Virginia coach Randy Mazey. “There weren’t many offensive threats by either team in that second game, they just took advantage of one and we didn’t.
