MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Oklahoma’s David Boren, the chattiest of Big 12 presidents when it comes to acknowledging the league’s flaws, doesn’t buy Paul Finebaum’s claims that the Sooners are “pretty desperate” to find a new conference.
Not immediately, that is.
Boren gave unmistakable notice, however, that Oklahoma could be relocating once the Big 12’s grant-of-rights deal expires in 2024-25 (if not sooner). If you were wondering whether he meant the SEC, the Big Ten or the Pac-12, try all of the above.
“They’re all kind of possible except the ACC really,” Boren said Thursday during an interview with The Oklahoman.
