As we mentioned earlier this week, former West Virginia Mountaineers quarterback Skyler Howard has found a new home in Japan and has signed on to play this upcoming season with the X-League’s Obic Seagulls. We’d be completely remiss if we didn’t jump on this opportunity to follow the 10-game winning signal caller on his journeys in Glorious Nippon.

Before I dive into the recap, I need to make sure everyone understands how the X-League works - at least, to the best of my understanding. The league was founded in 1971 as the Japan American Football League, but rebranded itself the X-League in 1997.
