Second WVU football player tests positive for coronavirus

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A second West Virginia University football player has tested positive for the coronavirus, the school’s athletic department announced on Saturday.

The player, who was not identified, will be in self-isolation for 14 days.

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has identified additional players who could have been exposed to the virus; those athletes have been placed in self-quarantine.

The football team began voluntary workouts on June 15. The athletic department announced the same day a player tested positive for the virus and other players would be in self-quarantine.
