Representatives from exactly half of the NFL’s 32 teams were on hand to assess former West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms in his pro day workout prior to the July 10 supplemental draft. Simms held a private workout in front of the scouts in his native Maryland.
The most significant figure in attendance was Oakland Raiders general manager Mike Mayock. DraftAnalyst.com writer Tony Pauline also reports that scouts from the Jaguars, Ravens, Colts, Saints, Seahawks, Jets, Redskins, Chiefs, Browns, Eagles, Lions, Packers, 49ers, Falcons and Vikings were also present.
Simms measured in at 5-foot-11 and 188 pounds.
