STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State scored 17 points off three turnovers and knocked No. 10 West Virginia from the field of unbeatens, 37-20, on Saturday.
Mason Rudolph threw for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth as the Cowboys (6-2, 4-1) became players in the Big 12 race. Though West Virginia (6-1, 3-1) remains in the hunt for the league crown also, its College Football Playoff hopes were likely dashed.
The Mountaineers outgained OSU 421-358 only to be undone by mistakes. Quarterback Skyler Howard accounted for two scores but lost a fumble near his own goal line and tossed two interceptions — all of which OSU converted.
