Rich Rodriguez Shares Bleak Injury Updates For WVU Football Ahead Of Clash With UCF

WVU football has been plagued with injuries all season, and the news is not getting better.

Coming off the bye week, both the coaching staff and fans likely hoped some more healthy faces would emerge, but that is unfortunately not the case for Wes Virginia. On The Rich Rodriguez Show on Monday night, the Mountaineers' head coach shared an update on the injury situation, which included a bleak outlook for one of the team's top remaining running backs, a defensive player lost for the season, and further quarterback injury news.

Rodriguez said that running back Tye Edwards – who cemented himself in Backyard Brawl lore by exploding for 141 yards and three touchdowns in a comeback victory over Pitt – is still struggling significantly with his hip pointer injury, and that he'll be traveling to Alabama to see a specialist because the injury is "just not healing right.
