Reports: West Virginia Set To Hire Miami Dolphins Assistant For Vacant Defensive Position

The West Virginia Mountaineers have hired Miami Dolphins assistant defensive back coach Danny "Blue" Adams to fill the vacancy left by Brian Mitchell's departure for Virginia Tech, according to reports.

Adams played for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and was drafted in the 7th-round in the 2003 NFL draft by the Detroit Lions. Blue spent seven years in the pros, before deciding to pursue his coaching career. Adams has spent the last four seasons on the Dolphins coaching staff, helping coach a secondary that ranked 6th in passing yards allowed for the 2014 season.
