Progress Report: A look back at West Virginia’s preseason depth chart

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia’s 2019 season is where many expected it would be at this point — a work in progress that won’t be complete until a future season.

With the bulk of last year’s stars leaving via the draft or other means, the Mountaineers (3-4, 1-3 Big 12) are in the early stages of a rebuild under first-year coach Neal Brown. More than most seasons, there was a chance for significant personnel changes from where players were listed in training camp.
