Grove, out of Wheeling, W.Va., was one of the most highly-regarded prep players in the state for the past three seasons. In his first year with West Virginia, Grove is showing that he deserves to be playing at the highest level of college baseball.
The Big 12 Conference has already taken notice.
On Monday, Grove was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. Earlier in the day, he garnered recognition from WVU as the Mountaineers’ student-athlete of the week.
All it took for Grove was one spectacular showing to be one of the hottest names on campus.
