West Virginia football fans are feeling like they might actually pull off something that likely seemed beyond reach just a couple months earlier.
Kevin Brown, a four-star offensive tackle prospect ranked as the sixth-best player nationally at his position in the Class of 2026 by the 247Sports composite rankings, was until recently fully committed to the Penn State Nittany Lions. But his father, Tim Brown, played for Rich Rodriguez and spent five years as a Mountaineer in college, and WVU is also a hop and a skip from his hometown of Harrisonburg, Pa.
Brown reopened his recruitment earlier this fall when the Nittany Lions fired James Franklin midseason, and WVU quickly joined Ohio State as emerging favorites in the process.
