The West Virginia Mountaineers will be without their “best athlete by far” as once described by Bob Huggins, freshman guard Trey Doomes for the 2019-2020 basketball season. Doomes, who came to West Virginia with Jordan McCabe and Derek Culver as part of the hyped recruiting class, saw limited action all season. Doomes started the year redshirting before head coach Bob Huggins burned the redshirt midway through the season.
Doomes saw limited action throughout the season after he began playing, in part because he was behind in his knowledge of the offense.
Trey posted a message to Twitter thanking the fans and University for his time at West Virginia.
