Oscar Tshiebwe to return for sophomore season at WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Citing a desire to win championships, Oscar Tshiebwe announced Sunday evening that he will return to WVU for his sophomore season.

On April 8, Tshiebwe said he would enter the NBA Draft process. But his return to Morgantown for the 2020-2021 means the Mountaineers will likely be a favorite to win the Big 12 Conference.

“I was very pleased to receive my evaluation, which was actually higher than my expectations but not at the level that meets my goal,” Tshiebwe said in his announcement on Twitter. “I am confident with another year at WVU that our goals as a team and as an individual will be achieved.
