No. 23 Mountaineers Just Edged at ISU

Down 48.7-48.325 after the first rotation, the Mountaineers (2-3, 0-2) surged back on the last three events, scoring season bests on vault (49.075) and beam (48.975). Tonight’s final score is the team’s best road mark since scoring 195.3 at New Hampshire on Feb. 8, 2015.

“This is only our second road meet of the season, and I’m happy with tonight’s result. I wanted to go at least 195.0 tonight, so we exceeded my expectations,” Mountaineer coach Jason Butts said. “Even though we didn’t get the win, this is a great road score for us for the end of the year.
