If you walked away from WVU football's season-opening win on Saturday impressed with the Mountaineers' offensive depth, you weren't the only one -- even the team's starting quarterback found himself feeling the same way.
Nicco Marchiol, who earned the starting nod for West Virginia against Robert Morris and proved exactly why he deserved it. He made multiple impressive plays with both his arm and his legs, and in terms of his passing performance he was nearly perfect -- going 17-for-20 with 224 yards and one touchdown. But in the postgame press conference, he gave his receiving corps a ton of credit for being able to put together such an effort -- and indicated he thinks he has the best group of targets in the Big 12 Conference.
