According to the West Virginia University site, wvusports.com, news broke last night that the West Virginia Mountaineers have added a six-foot-four-inch wide receiver to help compete with the 2019 guys if his petition to play immediately is allowed. Sean Ryan, a sophomore from Temple, will sign a grant-in-aid and will transfer to the Mountaineers.
In 2018 as a freshman at Temple, Ryan played in 11 games, catching 12 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. In Temple’s bowl game against Duke, Ryan caught 3 passes for 44 yards. The team will petition for Ryan to be immediately eligible but at worst, Ryan would sit out the 2019 and still have 3 years remaining.
