A goal from freshman forward Nia Gordon nine minutes into the match was all the Mountaineers needed to move past the host team. Sophomore Heather Kaleiohi tacked on two scores in the final 15 minutes to push WVU to its highest goal total of its 2016 European Tour.
“Today was a great day, especially coming off another long day of travel,” WVU assistant coach Marisa Kanela said. “This was a solid outcome for the girls and was nice to see after a few days of work here in Europe. Earning three goals was especially great.
