BECKLEY, W.Va. – Nathan Adrian scored 26 points in only 15 minutes to spark West Virginia’s 131-56 exhibition romp over WVU Tech in front of a sold-out crowd of 3,205.
Adrian made 10-of-12 shots, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range, while adding five rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Mountaineers, who led 19-0 at the first media timeout.
Freshman Lamont West struck for 17 points, Esa Ahmad posted 14 and Jevon Carter added 11. Freshman Sagaba Konate nearly had a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds for WVU, which led 62-23 at halftime.
