Mountaineers Return to National Rankings

Today’s rankings are the first of the season based on regional qualifying scores (RQS). Qualification for NCAA regional competition is based on a team and individual’s six best regular-season scores, of which three must be away. To obtain the RQS, the high score is eliminated and the remaining five scores are averaged. Teams and individual gymnasts who have not yet competed in enough meets/routines to compute an RQS are not ranked this week. The top 36-ranked schools as of March 21 will qualify for the 2016 NCAA Regional Championships.

The Mountaineers (2-6, 0-3) boast a 195.42 RQS. WVU was previously ranked for three straight weeks from Jan.
