As permitted by the NCAA every four years, the Mountaineers will take an overseas trip that includes 10 practices and four games. In 2011, the team toured France and Italy and in 2007 visited Australia. The Mountaineers made the NCAA Tournament after participating in both of those trips.
With 11 newcomers, including Florida State transfer Chania Ray, this is a perfect year for Mike Carey’s squad to get in extra days of practice before the season starts.
Other newcomers include a pair of transfers: Arielle Roberson (Colorado) and Desiree Rhodes (Wabash Valley College).
