Mountaineers Lead at Halftime 21-13

LANDOVER, Md. - Rushel Shell crossed the goal line twice and Rasul Douglas returned a Taysom Hill pass 55 yards for a touchdown to give West Virginia a 21-13 halftime lead over BYU here at FedExField this afternoon.

West Virginia quarterback Skyler Howard has completed 19 of 22 passes for 180 yards with one interception, that one going to BYU linebacker Butch Pau’u, which the Cougars turned into three points when Rhett Almond kicked a 22-yard field goal.

Almond’s second field goal came when it appeared BYU had run out of time at the end of the second quarter.
