MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Two old rivals are hooking up Wednesday in Blacksburg when 19th-ranked West Virginia takes on Virginia Tech at sold-out Cassell Coliseum.
The Mountaineers last played in Blacksburg on November 12, 2013, when the Hokies overcame a 17-point, first-half deficit to defeat West Virginia, 87-82.
Earlier this week, Tech announced that all tickets at 9,847-seat Cassell Coliseum have been sold for Wednesday’s early afternoon game being televised nationally on ESPNU. It will be West Virginia’s first true road game this season playing in an environment very similar to what it will face on the road in the Big 12, beginning with Saturday’s conference opener at Kansas State.
