MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Competing for the fourth straight day, the West Virginia University golf team took 14th at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, on Tuesday.
WVU shot a team score of 295-303-314=912 to finish 48 over par. McNeese State finished two over par to win the team title with a score of 866, while Ole Miss was second at eight over par with an 872. Host Mississippi State finished seventh with an 891 for 27 over.
“After 126 holes of golf in just five days, our guys are worn out,” coach Sean Covich said.
