Mountaineers Enter Postseason Ranked No. 23

Today’s ranking is the team’s highest position entering postseason since WVU was ranked No. 21 prior to the 2009 NCAA Regional Championships.

The Mountaineers (13-10, 3-3) dropped one spot this week based on their regional qualifying score (RQS) of 195.92.

An RQS is calculated by taking a squad’s six highest scores, three of which must be from road meets, dropping the top score and averaging the remaining five. Teams and individual gymnasts who have not yet competed in enough meets/routines to compute an RQS are not ranked this week. The top-36 ranked schools as today will qualify for the 2017 NCAA Regional Championships.
