Mountaineers Breakthrough Late, Beat Cowboys 5-3 in 10 Innings

Mountaineer starter got caught in a classic no-win scenario for a pitcher. He was terrific for six of the seven innings he pitched, but that one inning resulted in three runs for the Cowboys. Luckily for Grove, the Mountaineers were able to overcome their sluggish start and tie the game in the ninth inning before winning in the tenth.

Grove started the game white hot, setting down the first 11 Cowboys he faced. Unfortunately for Grove, after getting the first two outs in the 4th inning, he allowed a single, another single then a three run homer by OSU.
