Mountaineers beat Pitt for 10th straight win

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Mountaineer baseball team on Tuesday night added to its winning streak, beating Pitt on the road 10-4.

West Virginia (32-19) has now won 10 straight games (and 13 of their last 14), the nation’s longest winning streak. It’s WVU’s longest winning streak since 2008.

“We’re playing with a lot of confidence and the team has bought into what we’re talking to them about,” said WVU coach Randy Mazey. “Before the game, we told them we’re on a winning streak, but you can’t walk around like you’ve already won the national championship.
