Men’s soccer: Second-half goals carry West Virginia past Cincinnati

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Kevin Morris capitalized on the goalkeeper’s misplay to put West Virginia ahead in the 52nd minute, and Ryan Kellogg extended the margin late during a 2-0 victory over Cincinnati on Tuesday night.

While taking 13 shots, the Mountaineers (4-3) recorded their second shutout of the season and held the Bearcats (1-6) to just two shots.

The victory was West Virginia’s fifth in a row at home against nonconference opponents.
