MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Jordan McCabe, the 2018 point guard newly committed to West Virginia, joined MetroNews Statewide “Sportsline” to recount how life changed as a fifth-grader after his grandfather took him to a basketball camp.

McCabe also discussed the importance of Bob Huggins offering a scholarship when the kid from Kaukauna, Wisc., was only a high school freshman.

“I had seen the Mountaineers play before on TV and I knew the uptempo style of play. But as soon as I met Coach Huggins myself, I kind of knew that was a guy I wanted to play for,” he said.
