MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia received a commitment Sunday from Delaware three-star running back Leddie Brown, a prospect the Mountaineers have pursued since his eighth-grade year.
Rivals ranks Brown the No. 18 running back prospect in the class of 2018.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder holds offers from Florida, Tennessee, Louisville, North Carolina, Maryland, Syracuse, Rutgers and UConn.
“He’s an effective return man for his high school team and also lines up at wide receiver on some snaps,” said Rivals writer Keenan Cummings. “He especially excels taking screen passes and shows good vision weaving in and out of tacklers to produce big plays.
