Ka’Raun White ‘attacking everything’ but pump the brakes on brotherly comparison

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Beyond the 48 passes West Virginia’s Ka’Raun White caught last season, he stews over two he didn’t catch that became interceptions.

One, against Kansas State, his team overcame to win 17-16. The other led to a 37-20 beating at Oklahoma State.

They were drops, momentary concentration lapses. And receiver coach Tyron Carrier cited something else:

“Ka’Raun was not attacking the ball.”

A fifth-year senior now six years removed from his high school graduation, White is closer in age to his position coach than he is to some freshman teammates. Thus, Carrier likes to crack that “we’re going to be in the same retirement home together.
