One player on the Kansas defense that WVU football fans probably recognized well this past week was Trey Lathan, who transferred to the Jayhawks after a stint under Neal Brown in Morgantown once Rich Rodriguez took over the Mountaineers this past offseason.
Lathan had a pretty impressive performance against the Mountaineers, racking up multiple tackles to maintain his spot as the leading tackler this season for Kansas – including tallying a massive sack in the second half. Lathan also intercepted his former quarterback Nicco Marchiol in the third quarter of action and returned the ball for over 30 yards.
