MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia’s offensive line rebuild continued with a commitment from junior college offensive tackle Tairiq Stewart on Monday.
Stewart, a Rivals three-star prospect, picked West Virginia over offers from Maryland, Tennessee and Toledo. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 330 pounds, Stewart is a Cleveland native who spent the past two years playing for ASA College in Brooklyn.
“Junior college taught me a lot and created me into the man I am today,” Stewart wrote in his commitment announcement.
Stewart will come to West Virginia with a clear opportunity at immediate playing time.
