MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — One of West Virginia’s late-cycle recruiting targets is off the table after Northeast (Neb.) Community College shooting guard Buay Tuach signed with Loyola Marymount.
A junior college source told Metronews this week that Tuach was leaning toward signing with the West Coast Conference program, and LMU coach Mike Dunlap made it official Friday.
The 6-foot-5 Tuach visited Morgantown the weekend of April 17, a week after receiving an offer from the Mountaineers, and pronounced WVU as his frontrunner. The Sudan native, who averaged 16.7 points and 6.2 rebounds as a sophomore, also was being recruited by VCU, Middle Tennessee State, St.
