Jonathan Holton of West Virginia Mountaineers suspended, team rules cited

West Virginia forward Jonathan Holton has been suspended indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

Coach Bob Huggins announced Holton's suspension in a statement Thursday night. The statement didn't specify the reason for the suspension.

Holton has averaged 9.7 points and 7.5 rebounds this season and has started every game for the ninth-ranked Mountaineers (17-3). West Virginia plays at Florida (13-7) on Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

In a 70-55 win over Kansas State on Tuesday night, Holton had 14 points and 11 rebounds, his second double-double over a three-game stretch.
