On Monday, West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said that Holton “probably won’t” play against the Jayhawks in Allen Fieldhouse, according to multiple media outlets.
“I think the biggest difference is that we probably won’t have Jon Holton,” Huggins said during the Big 12 coaches teleconference on Monday morning. “He rebounds the ball so well and he also is the key to what we do pressure wise.”
This comes after Huggins’ declaration on Holton following the Mountaineers’ 80-69 win over Baylor on Saturday.
Huggins was asked by play-by-play announcer Tony Caridi on the post game radio show, as well as the post game media session, if Holton’s indefinite suspension would end with Tuesday’s game against Kansas.
