JJ Quinerly Looks To Record Rare Achievement in WNBA Rookie Season

The Dallas Wings are not having an incredible season by any means, but Wings’ rookie JJ Quinerly has already made a little bit of history in the WNBA – now, she’s pushing to do so once again.

Earlier this season, the former WVU women’s basketball star became the first third-round WNBA Draft selection since 1999 to score 15 or more points in three consecutive games as a rookie. She did so in impressive fashion, as she pulled off the achievement amidst a streak of six double-digit scoring performances.

But Quinerly now has the opportunity to make history across an entire season, as she is sitting in position to become just the tenth WNBA third-round selection to average five or more points per game as a rookie across the course of the year.
