Is Spring Valley 2019 recruit the state’s top prospect in a decade?

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia is among three finalists for 2018 Rivals top-150 defensive end Dante Still (who plans to make his choice in August), and there’s another elite in-state lineman driving the Mountaineers’ interest for 2019.

Spring Valley offensive tackle Doug Nester, perhaps the best offensive line prospect to come out of the state in a decade, is shaping up to be a top-50 national recruit. He holds offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Virginia Tech, Penn State, and Tennessee, but West Virginia is among his five finalists, and they have been since making Nester his first D-I offer — in February of his freshman year.
