Holgorsen wants Milan-Puskar ‘to be rowdy’ for Big 12 opener

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia is undefeated. It’s homecoming week. Heck, it’s Kansas State week. And more than 12,000 students requested tickets for Saturday’s stadium-striping spectacle.

“I know our fan base is going to be enthusiastic,” Dana Holgorsen said. “We need that place to be rowdy. We need it be as good an atmosphere as exists in college football.”

Through four Big 12 seasons, Holgorsen has beaten every league team at least twice except for Oklahoma and K-State, against whom the Mountaineers are 0-4. While having zero success against the Sooners is regrettable, that 0-fer against the Wildcats — with their no-name recruiting classes and transistor-radio offense — there’s a scab that won’t heal.
